Pick Up Acorns

“How do you pick up acorns?” you may ask.  To pick up acorns you can do a few things.  Some people spend hours on their hands and knees picking up the acorns one by one, or in handfuls (depending on the tree yield).  The rake is much faster at harvesting acorns than picking them up by hand.  Using the rake adds a few extra steps to harvesting the acorns.  After you rake them, you have to pick them out of the twigs, leaves, and dirt.  Then you have to pick them up off the ground by hand and into a bucket or bag.

There are small devices that will pick them up, but using these, if you have a larger area of acorns, can be time consuming.

There are also mechanical machines that will pick up acorns, such as vacuums and shredders.  These are not cheap and require gas and maintenance.  Using these machines will save lots of time picking up acorns, if you’re willing to upkeep them.

There is another alternative, which combines the best of all worlds.  The machine called a Bag-A-Nut will pick up Acorns easily, quickly and with minimum maintenance.

The Bag-A-Nut is a machine (without an engine) that is propelled by slight pressure.  When it is pushed, the patented wheels pick up the acorns and ejects them in a basket.  The size of the width of the wheels is optional; depending on how many acorns you have to pick up.  The smallest Bag-A-Nut is 16” wide, and the largest is 36”, which can also be pulled behind a tractor, ATV or lawn mower.  Each Bag-A-Nut will pick up an area of 16”, 24”, or 36”.  The Bag-A-Nut will pick up acorns quickly, requires minimal to no maintenance, and will pay for itself quickly, especially if you sell your harvest.  The Bag-A-Nut is a great investment for picking up your acorns.
