Description
The Stab-A-Nut Sweet Gum Ball Picker allows you to clear sweet gum balls without pricking your fingers or having to bend over. Simply “stab” the sweet gum balls on the ground. Once the picker head is full, use a downward motion on the pump handle to eject into the container of your choice.
This unit was designed with “backyard” sweet gum ball tree owners in mind and is recommended for harvesting one to two trees. If you have more than one to two trees check out our larger models.
We understand how frustrating picking up sweet gum balls by hand can be. Try the Stab-A-Nut Sweet Gum Ball Picker, and we guarantee you will love it!

Oh my ! This item is amazing. We have had 2 mature Sweetgum trees in our suburban yard for 20 years. The trees are probably 30 years old. I have tried so many different products over the years. Every year we dread those gum balls that ruin our yard, twist our ankles ,and litter our gardens. A few are tolerable, but we have what seems like millions every year . I used this today and it is amazing. I didn’t think it would work in the thick lawn , but no problem !! Thank you to the genius who invented this.
I purchased this as a gift for my son and daughter-in-law so that they can look at their yard and not just think about all the gumballs that the neighbor’s tree has dropped there.
Pricey but I guess saving my back is worth it. For now, quality seems great but time and usage will tell as to how it holds up. This device is great for those later season “sputniks” where you clean up and over the next couple days 50 more have fallen. Earlier in the season when there are tons all over it would take too long to pick up individually. With only one sweet gum tree it is not worth it to invest in a larger system. When there are lots of them a leaf sucker is better, not perfect but better for those times when within 20 minutes I can fill the sucker bag twice. But for later in the spring when the remainder are finally falling, I am very satisfied for what it does. But this spring I will apply a sweetgum birth control growth regulator which will hopefully reduce these things.
